Under the Production Sharing Contract arrangements with SKK MIGAS, PETRONAS Carigali Indonesia Operations is looking for the following professionals:
1. ICS & End User Support Team Leader
Lead, manage, and execute the overall planning, development and operation of end-to-end ICT infrastructure, business telecommunication and network system, information security, ICT compliance, and End User support delivery for business through a comprehensive execution of ICT strategy and operations in order to enable timely, efficient & secured ICT services, and maximum return to stakeholders and country business objectives.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, manage and execute the strategies for ICT infrastructure, communication, information security, and end user support plan, operation and maintenance at Indonesia operations through development and implementation of annual work program & budget, effective monitoring and optimization, and using relevant tools and methodologies to ensure long term reliability and technical integrity of all asset and services to maximizing value creation, business growth and new business opportunities and to support country business objectives
• Coordinate, evaluate and analyze the end-to-end service level management of ICT infrastructure, communication, information security, and end user support system, in ensuring sustainable solutions by institutionalizing best practices in order to ensure effective and efficient sustainable model, and aligned to Upstream business and PETRONAS Group standard and policies, and to meet with country business objectives.
• Establish, conduct and manage the implementation of Country ICT infrastructure, communication, information security, and end user support sustainability plan, standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines, by working with the management team and Upstream group, to govern the delivery of the sustainability model, in assuring such ICT sustainability plans, standards, policies, procedures, and guidelines meet business objectives that are aligned with Upstream business and PETRONAS Group standard and policies
• Carry out research and providing technical advice and analysis pertaining to the implementation and delivery of ICT infrastructure, communication, information security, and end user support system, by identifying leading-edge related framework, methodology, and tools in recommending appropriate and innovative solutions to the key stakeholders to provide reasonable assurance of the adequacy and operating effectiveness.
Requirements:
• Degree in IT (technology/engineering) or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 10-15 years of ICT experience in oil and gas, with sound multi-discipline ICT application and system (Production facilities / process / structure mechanical, electrical & instrument) technical.
• Understanding of E&P Business and possess technical awareness in operations.
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and ICT hardware/software systems, and project management.
2. Sr Geologist/GeoModeller
Carry out geosciences technical evaluation through meeting the agreed plan and ensuring smooth project execution in accordance to PETRONAS standard and superior technical results on supporting project & investment in order to deliver optimum development of petroleum resources, maximize value return and sustainable business growth in line with PETRONAS Indonesia current and future business requirement in field appraisal, development and production.
Requirements:
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Geology discipline
• 8-10 years experiences in Oil and Gas Industry.
• Competent in Geomodelling.
• Strong influencing skills based on good technical basis and judgement is critical to ensure effectiveness in providing geological inputs in Multi-disciplinary team.
• Good team player with high professionalism and integrity on the sub-surface technical evaluation/proposal is critical to ensure high quality, effective and timely decision making by the management.
3. Sr Production Technologist
Responsible to carry out a reservoir engineering technical evaluation through Life-of-Field (LOF) reservoir engineering evaluation and services in a conceptual and full Field Development Plan (FDP), Full Field review (FFR), reservoir management, reserves addition, Annual Review of Petroleum Resources (ARPR), and subsurface related activities in order to monetize, achieve optimum hydrocarbon production and reserves exploitation, as well as to maximize value return and sustainable business growth in line with the company’s current and future business requirement in field appraisals, development, and production.
Requirements:
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree level in Petroleum or related science subjects with minimum 8-10 years’ experience in Oil and Gas Industry.
• Strong influencing skills based on good technical basis and judgement is critical to ensure effectiveness in providing production technology inputs in multi-disciplinary team.
• Good team players with high professionalism and integrity on the sub-surface technical evaluation/proposal is critical to ensure high quality, effective and timely decision making by the management.
4. Offshore Operations Superintendent (1 position)
Control, coordinate and monitor the process of all production activities and functions at the platform for optimal production of hydrocarbons, in an efficient and safe manner within the parameter of statutory regulations, company policies, international codes and standard recommendations to achieve production target and to maximize the value creation.
Responsibilities:
• Lead, execute and control day to day operations of producing, processing and storing of hydrocarbon to meet the approved daily target and nomination i.e. for crude, gas and condensate, gas flaring etc. through a proper planning of resources and work scheduling to ensure maximum production is delivered.
• Monitor, propose and minimize Unit Production Cost through evaluation of the maintenance activities effectiveness and optimize management of critical spares and materials to avoid wastage and optimize an effective overtime.
• Analyze and resolve operational issues and concerns (e.g. Well head, Pigging, BS&W, Field Improvement Proposal, etc.) by collaborating with offshore and onshore support departments (e.g. Production Department, Well Services Department etc.) to ensure maximum uptime of the field/terminal to achieve the Production target.
• Plan and coordinate production optimization through consolidation of planned shutdown and well planning of resources and activities to ensure timely and safe execution of works so as to ensure improvement to the production and process performance.
• Review and analyze downtime alert report (i.e. unplanned shutdown) by collaborating with support departments to provide recommendations for improvement in order to reduce unplanned deferment.
Implement the new technology/upgrading/improvement proposal in field/terminal operations to enhance production performance and facilities uptime through identification, evaluation and effective implementation.
• Develop and implement specific HSE procedures, guidelines and risk assessment in order to meet field/terminal HSE performance target and regulatory compliance, through continuous analysis, effective performance monitoring/tracking and communication to relevant parties.
• Perform all simulated emergencies' drills and exercises by continuous evaluation of procedures and response to meet high standard of readiness for Emergency Response Team; and continuously maintain the functionality of the platform emergency shutdown systems.
Requirements:
• Degree in any Engineering discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum 8-15 years’ experience in oil and gas industry will be an added advantage.
• Possess good communication and negotiation skills.
• Possess good interpersonal qualities with good relationship building, networking, and independent.
• Teamwork and strong emotional stability to work under pressure and tight deadline.
• Must be capable of handling multiple tasks with constantly changing requirements.
5. Control Room Operator (2 positions)
Execution and control of operation and maintenance activities by way of implementation of Monthly target letter and medium-term major activities plan so as to effectively produce hydrocarbon in a safe and cost-efficient manner contributing directly to the revenue generation of the regional operation.
Responsibilities:
• Plan, manage, execute and control day to day fundamental operations of producing, processing and storing of hydrocarbon to meet the approved daily target and nomination i.e. for crude, gas and condensate, gas flaring/venting and water discharge limitation.
• Perform and execute all simulated emergencies' drills and exercises by continuous evaluation of procedures and response to meet high standard of readiness for Emergency Response Team
• Plan, manage, execute and control integrated and simultaneous shutdown activities to ensure the identified activities are performed efficiently & safely, shutdown duration target is achieved and cost are within budget.
• Coordinate and communicate with relevant downstream/upstream operator by ensuring prompt respond in order to eliminate cascading effects and spurious interruption to the facilities.
• Plan, manage, execute and control the execution of first line machineries and equipment’s by ensuring compliance to procedure and schedule to achieve highest availability and reliability level.
Requirements:
• Degree in engineering discipline
• Minimum 5-8 years of engineering experience in oil and gas and/or petrochemical industries, with sound multi-discipline (Production facilities / process / structure mechanical, electrical & instrument) technical & management knowledge.
• Strong analytical skills and effective management of equipment maintenance program and control of the service providers to ensure high facilities availability and reliability for high plant uptime.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English.
• Willingness to work in remote locations or offshore facilities as required.
• Understands oil processing system, oil dehydrating system and cargo oil operation system.
• Has knowledges in safety regulations and procedures related to electrical systems.
6. Production Operators (4 positions)
We are seeking a Production Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of equipment and systems at our upstream oil and gas facilities. This includes monitoring and controlling production processes.
• Perform and monitor day-to-day process activities and work teams job assignments in accordance with Offshore and Onshore Operations requirements to ensure plant unit availability, reliability, and safety in compliance with the Company rules, policies, guidelines and statutory requirements.
• Operate and perform basic troubleshooting activities on unit and equipment to ensure correct process mode and configuration in compliance to process requirements. Perform operational pigging exercise including chemical injection to ensure reliability and integrity of pipeline.
• Perform shutdown and start-up on units, assess unit condition for acceptance to ensure continuous and safe plant operation and product delivery.
• Monitor production parameters such as flow rates, pressures, temperatures, and fluid levels, and make necessary adjustments to optimize production.
• Verify isolation and removal of plant equipment and perform isolation/removal activities on plant units as per isolation checklist to ensure smooth and safe maintenance job during plant shutdown and start-up.
• Lead process turnaround activities in compliance with operating procedures and standards.
• Perform functional tests for instrument and control safeguarding system to complete safeguarding exercise as per schedule.
• Respond to emergency situation as a Damage Control Team (DCT) and Emergency Response Team (ERT) Backup member, whenever required, to ensure the emergency situation is managed in accordance with the approved Company Emergencies Procedures.
• Maintain safe work area by performing regular housekeeping and report any hazardous condition, near misses and/or incidents to comply to HSE requirement.
• Perform all tasks of the lower grades as and when required and conduct on-job training (OJT) to lower grade technicians to develop their skills and competencies in performing assigned work.

• Minimum diploma degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field from a recognized Polytechnic or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years as Technician (Operator) OR Minimum of 8-10 years as Operation Technician in oil, gas and related industry with demonstrated knowledge and skill in Instrument tasks.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English.
• Willingness to work in remote locations or offshore facilities as required.
• Basic understanding of production processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations, with a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
7. Instrument Technician (1 position)
We are seeking an Instrument Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance, conducting troubleshooting and inspections, including breakdown maintenance.
Responsibilities:
• Execute necessary repairs and maintenance on instrumentation equipment to support the operation and maintenance of regional/country oil and gas production, both in onshore and offshore facilities, ensuring the highest technical standards are maintained in a safe and cost-effective manner.
• Perform regular inspections, tests, and calibration of instrumentation equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards.
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing of instruments, sensors, and control systems.
• Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis of instrumentation failures and implement corrective actions, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programable Logic Controller (PLC).
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of instrumentation equipment such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level sensors.
• Assist with performance testing of safety systems, including emergency shutdown systems (ESD) and fire and gas detection systems.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and provide reports on equipment performance.
• Work collaboratively with other maintenance and engineering teams to ensure integrated and efficient operations.
• Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
• Min. Intermediate level English proficiency.
• Minimum diploma degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronic or related field from a recognized Polytechnic or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years as Technician (Instrument) OR Minimum of 8-10 years as Operation Technician in oil, gas and related industry with demonstrated knowledge and skill in Instrument tasks.
• Willingness to learn, adapt, and take on new challenges in a fast-paced work environment.
• Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English.
• Willingness to work in remote locations or offshore facilities as required.
• Has knowledges in instrumentation and control systems, including PLCs, DCS, SCADA systems, and field instruments.
• Has knowledges in calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various instrumentation devices such as transmitters, controllers, analyzers, and valves.
• Has knowledges in safety regulations and procedures related to instrumentation and electrical systems.
• Has a knowledge in hazardous area equipment maintenance.
