Vale Indonesia to appoint new CEO from three candidates at second EGMS

IDX-listed nickel producer PT Vale Indonesia Tbk. (IDX: INCO) is set to appoint a new President Director and CEO at its second Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (EGMS), scheduled for Monday, July 28, 2025.

The appointment follows the failure of the first EGMS, held on July 18, 2025, to reach quorum. Only 1.96 billion shares—representing 18.62% of the company’s 10.54 billion outstanding shares—were represented at that meeting.

"The Board of Directors hereby invites all shareholders to attend the second EGMS on Monday, July 28, 2025, at 4:00 PM Western Indonesian Time at The Ritz-Carlton Jakarta Pacific Place," PT Vale stated in a disclosure to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

According to company documents, three candidates have been nominated as the new President Director and CEO of Vale Indonesia, replacing Febriany Eddy, who currently serves as Managing Director of PT Danantara Asset Management (DAM), the holding of Danantara, Indonesia’s sovereign wealth fund.

The first candidate is Bernardus Irmanto, who has been temporarily appointed as Acting President Director and CEO of PT Vale. He also serves as PT Vale's Director and Chief Sustainability and Corporate Affairs Officer.
