PT Energia Prima Nusantara (EPN), through its subsidiary PT Arkora Hidro Tbk, is participating in a tender process launched by PT PLN (Persero) for the development of the 20 MW Pongbembe Hydropower Plant (PLTA) in South Sulawesi.

“There are several hydropower projects we’re targeting, as there are quite a few opportunities in this segment. We’re exploring them, and one of them is Pongbembe. The tender process is still ongoing,” said EPN’s Director of Operation and Engineering, Eko Harry Ariadin, in an interview with Petromindo.com on Friday (June 27).

According to company data, Arkora currently operates three hydropower plants with a combined contracted capacity of 42.8 MW: the 7.4 MW Cikopo mini-hydro plant in West Java (commissioned in 2017), the 10 MW Tomasa hydro plant in Central Sulawesi (2020), and the 10 MW Yaentu hydro plant in Central Sulawesi (2024).
