We are a public company which operates in the Oil and gas field services sector. The Company provides onshore and offshore drilling services to oil and gas producers and other related services. The Company operates a fleet of drilling unit comprises submersible swamp barges, jack-up rigs and onshore drilling rigs.

We are looking for qualified candidates for the position:

Rig Manager (Offshore)

(Shore based Resident – Balikpapan)

Objectives:

Responsible for the execution of drilling operations for all rigs under area of responsibility according to established operational procedures and HSE standards. Will be responsible to Operation Manager.

Requirements:

• Have 5 – 10 years of experience in the same position

• Have valid IWCF/ IADC certification

• Have valid BOSIET certification

• Sound technical knowledge of Well Control Equipment and processes

• Sound technical knowledge of drilling equipment & drilling process for Offshore Drilling Rig’s (will be preferable experience on Jack Up Rigs i.e. JU2000e, BMC400 etc. with min. 3000 HP capacity)

• Coordinate and monitor all activities in order to ensure the smoothness of rig operations for each rig

• Have a thorough knowledge of rig emergency systems and procedures

• Have a thorough knowledge of hand signals and safe working procedures for equipment handling

• Perform assigned duties in a safe efficient manner in accordance with Company Policy and good rig practices

• Legislative safe work practice knowledge

• Practical knowledge on budgeting and cost control

• Prepare work plan including man power plan and budget based on drilling program proposed by Client.

• Negotiate with the Client on special conditions or problems to be solved during preparation and execution of drilling program

• Able to work under pressure/time management

• Proficiency in English (written & oral). Indonesia Bahasa will be a plus.
