1. Project Manager
The Project Manager will lead and manage the planning, execution, and delivery of coal mining projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, environmental regulations, and company policies. This role requires leadership, operational oversight, resource management, and coordination with multiple departments, stakeholders, and external contractors.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from reputable university in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in Coal Mining operations, with minimum of 5 years in managerial role (reputable coal mining contractor is advantage)
• Good knowledge of operating mine planning and scheduling software such as Minescape, Mine, and Xpac
• In-depth knowledge of coal mining processes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
• Demonstrates an ability to successfully manage projects, schedules, budgets, and encompasses excellent skills in organizational, planning & problem solving
• Business acumen and solid financial skills to handle capital appropriation, costing and budget responsibilities
• Excellent analytical, evaluate, supervisory, team development and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership, analytical skill, results oriented and able to work in a team
• Possess at least POM certification
2. Senior Mine Plan Engineer/Mine Plan Engineer
The Senior Mine Plan Engineer is responsible for the development, optimization, and implementation of comprehensive mine plans to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective coal extraction. This role involves creating both short-term and long-term mine designs, overseeing production schedules, and ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations. The Senior Mine Plan Engineer works closely with geologists, surveyors, and operations teams to maximize resource recovery, improve productivity, and reduce operational costs. They also provide technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, and actively contribute to continuous improvement in mining operations.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree from reputable university in Mining Engineering
• At least 8 years of working experience in Mine Plan Engineering, with minimum 5 years in mine operation (Coal Mining)
• Proficient of operating mine planning and scheduling software such as Minescape, Minex, and Xpac; and survey software is a plus (AutoCad, Talpac and Terramodel)
• Capable in mine blasting plan and operation
• Good understanding about coal geology and geotech
• Good understanding of wide range mining equipment application
• Possess outstanding leadership skills, highly motivated, hard working under pressures and good team work
• Strong communication skills to interact with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Possess POP/POM certification
3. Blasting Engineer
The Blasting Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, and executing efficient and safe blasting operations in coal mining. This role involves optimizing blast patterns, charge placements, and timing sequences to maximize coal extraction and rock fragmentation while minimizing environmental impacts and safety risks. The Blasting Engineer ensures compliance with regulatory standards, monitors blast performance, and continually improves blasting efficiency through data analysis. They work closely with cross-functional teams, manage explosives, and provide leadership and training to staff on safe blasting practices.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, or a related field with a focus on explosives and blasting techniques.
• Having certificates of POP/POM (Pengawas Operasional Pertama/Madya) and KJL (Kartu Juru Ledak) under BSN/ESDM authorized.
• Must be qualified to apply KIM
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in blasting operations, preferably in a coal mining environment.
• Mastering in mine software (Minescape, Minex, Xpac; AutoCad etc)
• Proficiency in blast design and simulation software
• Having knowledge in coal geology and geotech aspects.
• Having a good understanding of wide range mining equipment application
• Have outstanding leadership skills, highly motivated, hard working under pressures and good team work
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively across departments.
4. Exploration Geologist
The Exploration Geologist is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and mapping coal deposits to support mining operations. This role involves conducting geological surveys, core sampling, and data analysis to assess the quality, quantity, and structure of coal seams. The Exploration Geologist interprets geological data to generate accurate resource models, guiding mine planning and development. They work closely with drilling teams, mining engineers, and environmental specialists to ensure efficient and sustainable resource extraction while complying with regulatory and safety standards.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in geological exploration, preferably in coal mining. Experience with coal seam modeling and resource estimation is a plus.
• Proficiency in geological mapping, core logging, and data analysis.
• Experience using geological software for modeling and resource estimation (e.g., Minex, Vulcan, or Datamine).
• Strong understanding of coal geology, sedimentary formations, and drilling techniques.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Willing to work in remote area
5. Mine Supervisor
The Coal Mining Mine Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily mining operations to ensure productivity, safety, and compliance with regulations. This role includes managing team of operators, coordinating schedules, and ensuring that mining activities adhere to company standards and regulatory requirements. The Mine Supervisor plays a critical role in promoting a safe, efficient, and productive working environment, contributing to the smooth running of the mining operations and maintaining high standards in safety and environmental stewardship.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in coal mining, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Comprehensive understanding of mining processes, equipment operation, and safety regulations.
• Ability to effectively manage a team, resolve conflicts, and motivate employee.
• Quick decision-making skills to address production issues, operators’ challenges, or equipment error.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and compliance with regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for reporting and coordinating with other departments.
6. Safety Supervisor
The Safety Supervisor in is responsible for overseeing and implementing safety protocols to ensure the health and well-being of all workers on-site. This role involves monitoring mining activities, conducting safety inspections, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. The Safety Supervisor identifies hazards, provides safety training, and develops programs to minimize risk in daily operations. They work closely with the operations team to enforce safety standards, investigate incidents, and implement corrective measures to prevent future accidents.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Mining Engineering, or a related field. Certifications in safety management.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in mining safety, preferably in a coal mining environment.
• Having certificates of POP and K3
• Proficiency in safety auditing, risk assessment, and accident investigation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with workers at all levels.
• Leadership skills to effectively manage safety initiatives and enforce compliance.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Operation Superintendent (Coal Mining)
Operation Superintendent oversees daily mining operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective coal extraction. This role involves managing production schedules, supervising mining teams, and coordinating with engineers and planners to achieve operational goals. The superintendent ensures compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies while monitoring equipment, resources, and workforce performance. They are responsible for optimizing production processes, addressing operational challenges, and maintaining effective communication with stakeholders to ensure smooth and successful mining operations.
Job Responsibilities:
• Plan, direct, and coordinate all mining operations to meet production schedules and output targets.
• Monitor performance metrics (e.g., production rates, equipment utilization, and material quality) and implement improvement strategies.
• Ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.
• Manage, coach, and develop operational teams, including supervisors and operators.
• Work closely with workshop teams to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
• Analyze production data and identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for optimization.
• Develop strategic plans for short- and long-term production targets.
• Liaise with regulatory bodies, community representatives, and other stakeholders to maintain compliance and positive relations.
• Work with Purchasing and Workshop teams to ensure materials and resources are available for smooth operations.
8. Surveyor
A Surveyor is responsible for providing precise measurements, maps, and data analysis to support safe and efficient coal extraction. They conduct surveys of surface and underground mining areas, create detailed maps, and collaborate with engineers and planners to optimize mine designs. The role involves operating advanced surveying equipment, monitoring mining operations for compliance with designs, and preparing detailed reports.
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying, or a related field.
• Possess at least POP
• Min 8 years of experience in coal mining operations
• Strong knowledge of mining equipment, processes, and HSE regulations.
• Proficiency in survey instruments and software (e.g., Total Station, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Surfer).
• Ability to clearly present technical data to non-technical stakeholders.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse teams and stakeholders.
