PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) specialises in gold and silver exploration, mining and processing within the Martabe Gold Mine. Our operational area is situated in Province of North Sumatra, with overall management functions based in Jakarta.
In 2023 employing a workforce of over 3,000 employees and contractors. Over 99% of our workforce are Indonesian Citizens (WNI), with more than 70% locally recruited. The Martabe Gold Mine, situated in South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra, spans 657 hectares per December 2023 and commenced production on July 24, 2012. It boasts an annual capacity exceeding 6 million tonnes of ore, resulting in an annual output of over 200,000 ounces of gold and 1-2 million ounces of silver.
All of the operation activity is governed by a 30-year Contract of Work (CoW) in collaboration with the Government of Indonesia, the mining area has evolved from the original 6,560 km2 in 1997 to its present refinement of 130,252 hectares (1,303 km2), encompassing the South Tapanuli, Central Tapanuli, North Tapanuli and Mandailing Natal Regencies. As of June 2023, the mineral resources totalled 6.2 million ounces of gold and 59 million ounces of silver.
Martabe Gold Mine is currently seeking a qualified individual to join our Processing (Maintenance) team in order to enhance its capabilities and support the achievement of departmental objectives.
ENGINEER – MECHANICAL PROJECT (PRO 2412054)
This position will be based at Martabe Site in the Processing(Maintence) Department and will report directly to the Senior Engineer - Mechanical Project
The Engineer Mechanical Projects plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the Martabe process plant and its supporting infrastructure. Key responsibilities include:
• Oversee the safe and timely delivery of approved capital and operational projects to ensure the Company achieves the intended project benefits.
• Utilize the Change Management System for all projects, ensuring effective communication, input, and sign-off from key stakeholders.
• Develop comprehensive scopes of work, tender packages, and project management tools, while selecting appropriate design standards and conducting tender evaluations to safeguard the Company’s financial and legal interests and maximize project value.
• Ensure all project designs adhere to recognized International Standards and are aligned with existing plant equipment and spare parts wherever feasible.
• Implement and maintain an appropriate level of Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA/QC) based on the strategic significance of each project to the Company.
• Monitor and report on project costs, progress, cost overruns, savings, variations, schedule changes, and other key project details to stakeholders regularly.
• Coordinate and manage internal and external engineering resources and contractors required for successful project execution.
• Track and report project Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and implement enhancements to maintenance strategies, safety measures, reliability, and operational capabilities as outcomes of completed projects.
• Prepare project submissions and cost estimates for inclusion in the annual CAPEX budget and quarterly forecasts, while also supporting OPEX budgeting as needed.
• Ensure maintenance strategies and inventory requirements identified during projects are effectively implemented after completion.
• Manage the entire project development lifecycle from initiation to completion, ensuring full engagement with PTAR’s Reliability, Maintenance, and Processing management teams.
• Update relevant systems, including drawings, maintenance management systems, inventory records, and document management systems, to reflect all changes resulting from projects.
• Guarantee that all works and activities comply fully with established Safety Standards and regulatory requirements.
Candidates for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:
1. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized university.
2. Minimum of 5 years of site-based experience in mineral processing plant maintenance and project implementation.
3. Proven expertise in designing mineral processing plants, material handling systems, pipelines, pumping systems, and structural construction.
4. Hands-on experience with the construction of material handling systems, including crushing and screening systems.
5. Comprehensive knowledge of international design standards and proficiency in using AutoCAD software.
6. Experience with Helix software or a strong understanding of conveyor systems, chute DEM analysis, and Helix Delta pipe analysis.
7. Exceptional ability to identify plant design issues and implement effective engineered solutions.
8. Proficiency in computer applications, including MS Excel, MS Project, scheduling software, and pronto.
9. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to produce detailed technical reports.
10. Site-based experience in offshore roles involving maintenance, project management, or construction of mineral processing plants.
11. Specific experience in Carbon-in-Leach (CIL) gold plant operations is highly advantageous.
12. Possession of a POP (Pengawas Operasional Pratama) certificate is preferred.
