IDX-listed heavy equipment and mining firm PT United Tractors Tbk (UT) said it has revised upward its coking coal sales volume target this year to 1.4 million tons from the initial target of 1.2 million tons.
UT Corporate Secretary Sara K. Loebis was quoted by Kontan on Friday as saying that in the first eight months of this year, the company’s coking sales volume has reached 1.17 million tons, or 97.5 percent of the full-year initial target.
She said that demand for coking coal has been relatively stable, mostly exported to steel makers in Japan. The new coking sales target for this year is also higher compared to realized figure of 1.15 million tons last year.
