Spanish oil, gas firm Repsol SA delays EPC contractor selection for its Kaliberau gas field development in Sakakemang PSC Block onshore South Sumatra, a senior official of upstream oil, gas authority SKK Migas said.
Operations Deputy Julius Wiratno told Petromindo.Com recently that the delay was caused by FEED optimization the company is currently undertaking after evaluation showed changes and uncertainty in reservoir.
Julius did not give further details.

Under the plan of development (PoD) approved by the government, Repsol will develop 445 BCFD of gas with peak production of 85 MMCFD. Gas production from Kaliberau field will be integrated with production facilities of the nearby Medco-operated Corridor block.
Gas from the block will be supplied to Pertamina-operated Rokan block and to state gas distribution firm PT PGN Tbk. Production from the block is originally expected to start in 2024.
Repsol holds a 45 percent interest in the Sakakemang block, while Malaysia’s Petronas holds another 45 percent interest, and Mitsui Oil Exploration Co. Ltd holds the balance.
