PT Supreme Energy said that its 80 MW geothermal power plant (PLTP) project in Muara Laboh, Solok Selatan Regency, West Sumatra Province, is expected to start commercial operation at the end of September 2019.
Supreme President Director Supramu Santosa told Petromindo.com on Tuesday that the 80 MW power output will be sold to state-owned electricity firm PT PLN in accordance with the power purchase agreement.
?(Geothermal) drilling had been completed last year. We?re now completing construction (of the power plant) with COD (commercial operation date) at the end of September this year,? he said.
Meanwhile, Senior Manager for Business Relations at Supreme Ismoyo Argo said that his company is in cooperation with the Directorate General of New and Renewable Energy to apply for permit to carry out geothermal drilling at the Kerinci Seblat conservation forest in Solok Barat Regency, West Sumatra. The conservation forest has been declared as World Heritage status by UNESCO.
