PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN), a state-controlled gas distribution company, has announced the dismissal of Luky Alfirman from its Board of Commissioners, effective March 25.

In a statement, PGN explained that the dismissal follows Luky’s appointment to the Board of Commissioners of PT Bank Mandiri Tbk (BMRI) during the bank’s Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGMS)

According to PGN's Articles of Association and the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises Regulation No. PER-03/MBU/03/2023, which prohibits members of the Board of Commissioners from holding concurrent positions in other state-owned enterprises, Luky’s term at PGN ended with the closing of BMRI’s AGMS for the financial year 2024.

“The Board of Directors of PGN will notify the Minister of State-Owned Enterprises regarding this matter for further action in accordance with applicable laws and regulations,” the company said.

PGN also stated that Luky’s appointment to the BMRI Board of Commissioners will not affect the company’s operations, finances, or business continuity.

Luky, who holds a PhD in economics from the University of Colorado, currently serves as the Director-General of Fiscal Balance at Indonesia's Ministry of Finance.
