PEP assumes operatorship of BMS Field in Jambi

State-owned upstream company PT Pertamina EP (PEP) has recently assumed operatorship of the Betung Meruo Senami (BMS) Field in Batanghari Regency, Jambi Province, through its unit PEP Jambi Field.

According to Jambi Field Manager Hermansjah, this transfer of operatorship from PT Prakarsa Betung Meruo Senami Jambi (PBMSJ) to PEP is part of an effort to safeguard state assets with remaining production potential and economic value. This move aligns with the government's goal of achieving a 1 million barrels per day (bpd) oil output by 2030.

The transfer of management for the BMS Field was marked by a ceremony held on 2 April.
