PT Minarak Banyumas Gas, the operator of the Banyumas exploration block is planning to start drilling of an exploration well by year-end, local media reported on Tuesday.
According to General Manager Muhammad Alwi, the well will be drilled in Ciamis regency. He did not give further details. The company was initially planning to drill the well last year.

The block was awarded to Minarak in 2018. The company has commitment to drill one exploration well in the block. The block is located onshore Central Java-West Java with a total area of 3,611.98 square kilometers.
Minarak is controlled by the Bakrie family.
