Humpuss targets expansion with 10-vessel fleet plan in 2025

Oil, gas shipping firm PT Humpuss Maritim Internasional Tbk (IDX: HUMI) plans to acquire 10 new vessels in 2025, including oil and chemical tankers, tugboats, and a platform supply vessel, as part of its fleet expansion and logistics development strategy.

The company revealed on Friday that it  has allocated a capital expenditure of USD 39.57 million for the acquisitions, which also include plans to develop LNG logistic support services. According to President Director Tirta Hidayat, HUMI aims to respond to increasing demand in the oil and chemical shipping segment, where global availability remains limited.

As of the first quarter of 2025, HUMI has completed the purchase of two vessels: the MT Mac Singapore, an oil and chemical tanker, and the MT Marlin 88, an oil tanker with a tank capacity of 50,322.80 cubic meters and a deadweight of 34,995 tons. MT Marlin 88 is designated for transporting refined oil products such as Pertalite, Pertamax, and naphtha.

The full 2025 procurement plan includes four oil and chemical tankers, five tugboats, one platform supply vessel, and support for LNG logistics operations.

In 2024, the company reported revenue of USD 127.68 million, a 20.02% increase from USD 106.38 million in 2023. Net profit rose 2.9% year-on-year to USD 368,603, while gross profit increased by 6.93% to USD 31.17 million. The company attributed the growth primarily to a 72.11% increase in revenue from the chemical transportation segment and an 8.40% increase from the marine support segment, including tugboat time charters.
