The Ministry of Finance-owned geothermal company PT Geo Dipa Energi (Persero) has successfully completed geothermal well testing for its expansion projects at Patuha-2 and Dieng-2.
“The well testing phase for our current drilling campaign at Dieng-2 and Patuha-2 is officially complete. Geo Dipa plans to begin commercial operations (COD) for Dieng-2 (55 MW) in Central Java by 2027, in line with the Patuha-2 (55 MW) geothermal project in West Java.
As previously reported, the company is targeting an EPC contract signing for Dieng-2 in June this year.
Currently, Geo Dipa operates the 55 MW Dieng Unit 1 and a 10 MW small-scale unit at Dieng. The company aims to expand its geothermal capacity at Dieng, with Units 1-6 each at 55 MW and Units 7-8 at 35 MW each.
