[Event Partner] Webinar: Nomenclature of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in the Prabowo-Gibran Zaken Cabinet

Background.
Environmental and forest management issues in Indonesia are crucial issues that require serious attention. In the history of the Indonesian government, the Ministry of Environment and the Ministry of Forestry once stood as two separate entities. However, during the two terms of President Joko Widodo's administration, these two ministries were merged into one.

Most recently, with the passing of the new Law on State Ministries by the House of Representatives, there is more flexibility in shaping the cabinet structure. There are no longer strict restrictions on the number of ministries or agencies. This opens up opportunities for various ministerial configurations, including the possible re-separation of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry.

This proposed separation is in line with the views of former President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono who recently highlighted the importance of separating these two sectors to achieve more effective management.

Given the evolving political and policy dynamics, Ecobiz.asia felt the need to organize a webinar to discuss in depth the nomenclature of the Ministry of Environment and Forestry in the Prabowo-Gibran Zaken Cabinet.
