East Kalimantan Governor Suwarna AF welcomes the positive result obtained by 12 local shrimp farmers during a shrimp farming training program in Central Java.
The farmers were sponsored by oil and gas firm VICO Indonesia as part of its community development program.
Suwarna called on the local planning and development agency to develop a shrimp breeding center in a bid to transform the knowledge and skill of the 12 farmers to other local shrimp farmers.
He said that shrimp farming has a bright prospects. He also added that East Kalimantan has the potential to become one of the largest shrimp producer in the country.(*)
