Borneo Prima to double coking coal production next year

Central Kalimantan coking coal producer PT Borneo Prima is expected to double production in 2024. The coal business unit of IMR Resources exports most of the coking coal to India.

“This year we plan to produce 500,000 tons of coal and we plan to increase the production up to 1 million tons next year,” Ravindra Kumar Yadav, Senior Manager of IMR Resources India Private Limited, said to petromindo.com on Tuesday on the sidelines of Coaltrans Asia 2023 in Bali.

Borneo Prima’s coal concession is located in Murung Raya Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. It spans an area of 15,000 ha with 78.7 million tonnes of coal reserves and 206 million tonnes of identified resources.
