Distributor Sales Manager
Location: Jakarta (with travel to remote areas in Indonesia)
We are seeking a Business Development Manager (B2B) to join our team as an individual contributor. This is a full-time position based in Jakarta, with the flexibility to travel to remote regions across Indonesia. You will be responsible for driving sales growth and executing commercial strategies within the distributor sales territory.
Main Responsibilities
Strategy
• Develop and implement effective sales strategies and business plans.
• Build and nurture mutually beneficial relationships with current and potential customers, as well as Manufacturer Brands/Principals.
• Research consumer needs and market trends; monitor competitor activities.
• Analyse market trends and identify innovative opportunities for growth.
• Identify new product prospects and propose improvements in product offerings, packaging, and services.
Sales & Business Development
• Forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales targets.
• Achieve sales goals and gross profit growth by expanding business with existing clients and identifying new opportunities.
• Cultivate and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
Operations
• Prepare and review annual budgets.
• Collaborate with colleagues from the Brand Line of Business (LOB) to align on product strategy, technical support, value-added solutions, and Sales & Operations processes.
• Work with the Customer Service & Logistics (CSL) department to ensure optimal service levels.
• Provide regular, reliable, and transparent reporting.
• Ensure compliance with all HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality) standards related to the function and company assets.
Role Requirements
• Minimum 7 years of experience in lubricant sales, preferably within the mining or related industrial sectors.
• Strong technical knowledge of mining operations and industrial process lubricants.
• Prefer Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering.
• Willingness to travel to remote areas; must reside in Jakarta.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage professionally with both internal and external stakeholders.
