Background

The lingering price slump of mining commodities mainly in the aftermath of global Covid-19 pandemic has been a serious alarm for the sustainable business of mining industry in Indonesia.

Many still predicted that the price of mining commodities, including coal would remain under heavy pressure in the second semester of this year.

This is forcing miners to re-think how they operate and is leading to series of cost efficiency. Mining companies have also taken several measures to restructure budget allocation, such as by cutting capital expenditure (capex) and redesign mine plans to reduce the stripping ratio (SR).

One of the highest operational cost is fuel consumption which represent about 40 percent of the mining operational cost.

The webinar would highlight leading practices to enable fuel savings, improved operating margin in order to achieve sustainable cost reduction in mining operation.
